Wisdom part 2

Psalms 119 (KJV) –
99: I have more understanding than all my teachers:
for thy testimonies are my meditation.

Meditation is giving considerable thought to something.
Once a person comes across certain knowledge, it can be a one-time revelation and not remember it at all or he/she can give it considerable thought and go over it now and again, which is meditation.

The point being made here is that you can only meditate something you know.
Meditating the Word of God makes one wiser than teachers.

Wiser than teachers! That is quite something.
Teachers are people who have more knowledge than their students.

They must have been competent students, and having mastered the knowledge, they should prove that they can communicate that knowledge and be qualified to share it with others who don’t possess that level of knowledge.
A teacher who does not know more than a student does not qualify to be one, whether it is academic, art, music, or handwork.

In this light, it may seem a fantasy to be wiser than one’s teachers, but the Word says so. Lets see how.

The essence of a person is his knowledge, emotion, and will. Every person has these three, which makes him/her a person.

Now, let’s talk about knowledge.
We are born with knowledge, all the knowledge that we ever need. When we go to school or experience something, this knowledge is illuminated in us.
We can use an analogy of a very big dark room that has everything one needs for life. In order to find something, we go in with a lamp, and after light falls on something, we identify it and use it for whichever purpose. The more light we light in this room, the more things we identify.

God has put knowledge in us, but to know and understand things, we need light. This light is the knowledge we acquire through different means, like reading books and going to school.
So when we meditate the Word that created everything, it lightens up our mind, and we become aware of many things our teachers may not know yet. Thus, we become wiser than them.

Let’s us read and meditate the Word of God.

Shalom
